HighScore House is gamifying the household, helping kids get what they want by doing activities and challenges. We did an interview with co-founder Kyle Seaman back in July when they were presenting at Startup Festival.
Yesterday, Kyle presented HighScore House to a group of investors, mentors and colleagues at 500Startups. 500Startups is the accelerator started by Dave McClure, where George Favvas from Rewardli went last year.
HighScore House has just completed the acceleration program in Mountain View. They also announced new investors that participated in an early seed round including Jason Bailey (founder of Super Rewards), Kay Luo (who ran communications/PR for LinkedIn and Square), James Levine (former CTO of Indeed) and Dan Martell (Flowtown, Clarity.fm).
Prior to 500Startups, HighScore House was one of five companies in Year One Labs. (Disclosure: I’m a Founding Partner at Year One Labs.)
Since their time at 500Startups, HighScore House has added two people to their team, launched an iPhone and iPad app, and built an amazing network. This includes CTO & Co-Founder of Circle of Moms, Mike Greenfield, who is now an advisor.
After their presentation yesterday, HighScore House received some early press accolades with a write-up on TechCrunch and in Forbes.
